The responsibilities of a Chef can vary from role to role, depending on what type of Chef you are, the hospitality venue you are a part of and the size of the kitchen team. Overall, you'll take pride in producing creative and innovative dishes for a broad clientele, whilst assisting with the overall running of busy yet high-quality restaurants.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality to a high standard. As a Chef, you will be an enthusiastic, hard-working and supportive member of the kitchen team, to ensure the kitchen service runs smoothly. You'll have excellent attention to detail and take great care with everything you do, whilst being able to meet targets in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
You should have outstanding communication skills in order to effectively communicate with the kitchen team and liaise with other departments within the venue, to make sure food service runs efficiently and to a high standard.
