Would you like the chance to live and work within a well-known hotel on the beautiful Isle of Islay, whilst earning up to £29,000 per annum and working alongside a fantastic team of fellow Chefs? We are in search if a skilled Sous Chef to join our renowened hotel client.

 

What you will get in your new role as Sous Chef

Along with a salary of £28,000 to £29,000, in joining our incredible client on a live-in basis, you will receive shared accommodation, delicious meals on shift, the opportunity to earn generous tips, and mentoring from the highly talented Head Chef.

 

Responsibilities in your new role

  • Aide and deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.
  • Mentor junior members of the kitchen team, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in menu creation, ensuring dishes are innovative and appealing.
  • Comfortable working in all sections of the kitchen.
  • Responsible for stock-taking and placing orders, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.

 

Your personality, experience, and qualifications 

To be considered for this position as Sous Chef, you should have demonstrated experience in a comparable role within a reputable establishment, showcasing a genuine enthusiasm for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Strong planning and organisational abilities are essential. We are looking for candidates who exhibit loyalty and have maintained longevity in their careers.
