What you will get in your new role
This temporary, event-based role in Glasgow City Centre supports a conference on the 17th & 18th March 2025. There are a variety of shift options between 8:30 AM to 17:00 PM each day, with a pay rate of ranging from £9.50 - £11.44 per hour (depending on age), plus accrued holiday pay.
Responsibilities within your new role as the Conference & Events Host or Hostess
Responsibilities include ensuring delegates sign in and receive their badges, directing them to the correct conference rooms, and being familiar with fire exits, toilets, and the lunch setup. You'll keep a clipboard with the day's timetable and answer participant questions regarding the Wi-Fi password, parking code, and venue facilities.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities are crucial for this role, as you'll be interacting with delegates, speakers, and event staff. A solid foundation in general administrative tasks is required, along with basic proficiency in PowerPoint to assist with presentation-related tasks.
