Live-in Sous Chef

We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join a prestigious team, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a luxury kitchen environment based in the Scottish Highlands.

Your rate of pay and hours of work
The hourly rate for this role ranges between £16 and £17, with holiday pay accrued. Free accommodation is provided for temporary placements. For the ideal candidate, there is potential for a permanent offer.

Responsibilities in your new role as the Sous Chef
Key responsibilities for this role include overseeing kitchen operations, leading and motivating the culinary team to maintain high levels of performance and collaboration. You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes, meeting the restaurant's standards of excellence in both taste and presentation. Additionally, you will assist in menu development, inventory management, and training junior staff, while upholding health and safety regulations. Your role is crucial in supporting the Head Chef and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Your personality, experience and qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience working in a Sous Chef role, demonstrating the ability to manage kitchen operations effectively. In addition, you must possess up-to-date food safety and hygiene certifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
