Responsibilities within your new role
Supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and assuming responsibilities in their absence
Crafting and presenting a diverse range of dishes while supervising junior kitchen staff
Compiling allergen charts for all menu offerings
Implementing strategies to monitor and optimise payroll and food costs
Conducting regular internal audits to uphold fire safety, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To be successful in this role you should have at least two years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar setting, along with a deep understanding of ingredients and familiarity with local food trends and history. Candidates should demonstrate proven abilities in managing people, showcasing a natural flair for creativity and innovation coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
